What is EXPAREL?

EXPAREL is a form of bupivacaine, a numbing medicine, packaged so it releases slowly over several days instead of a few hours.

It is given at the surgical site while you are already numb or sedated, so you will not feel the injection. It is especially helpful after wisdom teeth removal and implant surgery.
